Revamped Logo
Over the last three months we’ve made a couple tweaks to our covers - the most significant being a new font for the “Under One Hour” name itself. We’ve considered everything when making these books, and we’ve chose a new font that is subliminally more pleasing to the human eye.
History of the Marines Corps
Final edits are being made to History of the Marine Corps this month! Author Andrew J. Belet’s new book covers the formation of the Marines and highlights the Corps role in the past century of American warfare. A former Marine himself, Belet is also the author of the military memoirs Mountain Men and Another Shade of Green.
Children’s Literacy
We published examination manuscripts of Children’s Literacy this past Spring and distributed to various educators. The feedback has been tremendous; both helpful and encouraging. We will be formally launching the book this Fall - stay tuned for another Under One Hour sponsored book signing with author Magdalena Teske.
The Cinematic Art of Christopher Nolan
As far as summer blockbusters are concern, Dunkirk, the World War II drama from director Christopher Nolan is expected to be a box-office hit! Our second filmmaker book from screenwriter Eric S. Cunningham, focusing on Nolan’s use of “misdirection” in story narrative, will be releasing later this year.
The Films of Steven Spielberg
Author Michael Jolls, along with actor Shon McGregory, announced The Films of Steven Spielberg while standing in Spielberg’s actual footprint outside the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The book is on schedule to release this Christmas!
Summer Hang-Out
The evening of Saturday, July 8th, we held a party at O’Donovan’s Irish Pub in the North Center neighborhood of Chicago. Check out some of the pictures below!
